Loving the Masterpiece God Created – YOU

Loving the Masterpiece God Created – YOU

In a world that constantly tells us to do more, be more, and give more, it’s easy to forget that we too are worthy of care. Many of us, especially as women of faith, have been taught to put everyone else’s needs before our own—sometimes to the point of exhaustion.

But here’s the truth: Self-love is not selfish. It’s stewardship.

Psalm 139:14 says, “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” If God calls us His masterpiece, why do we sometimes treat ourselves like an afterthought?

What Self-Love Looks Like for Women of Faith

Self-love is not vanity or self-indulgence. It’s about honoring God’s creation—YOU.
It can look like:

  • Speaking life over yourself when the inner critic gets loud.
  • Protecting your energy by setting healthy boundaries.
  • Making space for rest and joy without guilt.
  • Walking in obedience to what God has called you to, and saying “no” to distractions.

When we operate from a place of love for ourselves, we have more to give to others—our families, ministries, careers, and communities—because we’re pouring from a full cup.

A Simple Challenge for You

This week, I want you to pause and ask yourself: Am I treating myself as someone God treasures?

If not, choose one intentional act of self-love today:

  • Take a walk and breathe deeply.
  • Spend 15 minutes in quiet prayer.
  • Write down 3 things you love about yourself—inside and out—and place them somewhere you’ll see them daily.

Small steps lead to lasting change. And each step is a way of saying to God, “I honor what You made.”

Final Encouragement

You are worthy. You are loved. You are enough—not because of what you do, but because of Whose you are. When you embrace this truth, you reflect God’s light in a way the world desperately needs.

Let’s commit to loving the masterpiece God created—ourselves—so we can serve from a place of strength, joy, and abundance.

5 Truths to Hold onto When Your Life Is Turned Upside Down.

“Finding Purpose in Life’s Disruptions”

We all face disruptive moments—those unexpected events that shake us out of our routines and challenge our plans. While these moments are rarely comfortable, they often carry a deeper purpose. Here are five truths to hold onto when life feels uncertain or overwhelming:

  1. Disruptive Moments Are Often Divine Appointments
What may feel like a setback is sometimes God’s way of setting you up for something greater. These moments can be the start of a transformation you never expected.
  2. Progress Without Pain Is Usually Not Possible
Growth often comes through discomfort. Just like a seed breaks open before it blooms, we must sometimes endure challenges to reach the next level of our journey.
  3. The Promise of God Is the Provision of Grace
No matter what you’re facing, God’s grace is sufficient. His promises are a constant reminder that you are never walking alone, even in the hardest times.
  4. Disruptive Moments Produce Dynamic Growth
These seasons stretch us, refine us, and make us stronger. The lessons learned in times of disruption often prepare us for the blessings ahead.
  5. What You Receive Depends on How You Respond
Your response shapes your outcome. Trust God, lean into His Word, and allow these moments to deepen your faith and resilience.

While disruptions rarely feel good in the moment, remember the promise of Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Even when life feels uncertain, you can trust that it is working for your good in the long run.

Lean into the process, hold onto these truths, and know that God is working everything out for His glory and your growth.
