Obey God

Sometimes we would rather follow our feelings rather than be obedient to what God is leading us to do. For example, forgiving someone who has disappointed you. However, when you obey God and do not succumb to your feelings, He will empower you to overcome the pain of your disappointment and He will give you the power to forgive the person who hurt you. But you must be obedient.

Bless and show kindness to those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:28)

3 Tips on How to Replace Fear and Sadness with Joy

*What’s on your playlist? Worship and inspiration music does it for me. It is ideal to already have your music playlist created, so that when you are in sad, fearful or in distress–all you would need to do is click the button and allow the music to minister to your soul.

*Create affirmations and declarations and write them down, as well as keep them nearby to remind you of who you are and what you are believing over your life. This will come in handy on those days that you may have lost your way.

*Always remember that God is with you. Even when you don’t feel His presence; He promised to never leave you or forsake you, so be transparent with him and share what’s truly on your mind and in your heart. The bible says that he will give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in Him. (Isaiah 26:3)

Choose Your Thoughts and Words Wisely

The bible says that as a man thinks within himself, so he is (Proverbs 23:7). It actually has much to say about the power of the tongue and the words that we speak. In fact, the words that we speak not only affects others, but they affect you. I recall as a child saying, sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt! Oh, the lies we tell ourselves. Your attitudes, your emotional stability, your peace and your joy are all impacted by the words that you speak. So, choose your thoughts and words wisely.

7 Helpful Tips on How to Resolve Issues Peacefully

1. If you are upset, pause and take a moment to reflect and regroup, before you say or do something that you may regret later.

2. Be mindful of your nonverbal communication. Be aware of your facial expressions, hand gestures and body language to ensure that you are sending the message that you want to be received.

3. Demonstrate empathy, which is the ability to show you understand how the other person feels. This allows the other person to feel heard and seen, which may diffuse conflict.

4. Take responsibility for yourself and own up to any adverse contributions that you may have added to the situation. This demonstrates self-awareness and integrity and will most likely lead to a successful resolution expediently.

5. Stay in the present and don’t dredge up issues from the past. Ask for what you need, say no what you can’t do, and be open to negotiation and compromise.

6. Focus on what you can control (such as your own behaviors and how you respond) and let go of the rest.

7. Forgive and let go of the past. Recognize that people come into our lives for a reason, season, or a lifetime and even negative experiences are opportunities for growth.

When Faced with the Impossible!

We all have experienced circumstances unexpectantly or out of our control at one time or another. As believers this should not surprise us, because the word of God promises trials and tribulations. But don’t you worry and don’t you fret. Do this instead:

First, take your impossible situation to God.

Next, don’t allow how long you have been waiting hinder your faith.

Always remember that God is on your team and what He is capable of doing in your life (go down memory lane of how he has worked out situations in your past).

Be sure to be honest with God (and yourself) about your doubts.

Then, watch God do what He does best and that is work all things for your good.

Broken Promises

Have you ever broken a promise? Do you recall how it felt? Or has anyone ever broken a promise to you? Well, I am so grateful that God is faithful and that according to the bible, He cannot lie. I believe at times during our waiting season, we wonder if God hears our prayers. Here are five promises of God that you can hide in your heart to encourage you, as you wait on God to come through.

  1. God Promises To Answer Your Prayers
Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

  2. God Promises To Always Be With You
Romans 8:38-39, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

  3. God Promises To Work All Things For Your Good
Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

  4. God Promises To Take Care Of All Your Needs
Philippians 4:19, “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

  5. God Promises Freedom from Your Sin
I John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

When Our Faith is Tested

We may face challenges that make us question our beliefs, or we may struggle to find meaning in difficult circumstances. However, these challenges can also be opportunities for growth and self-discovery. When we face these challenges with faith and trust in God, we find that our struggles are transformed into opportunities for spiritual growth and enlightenment. We learn to let go of our fears and anxieties, and we find strength in the knowledge that we are part of something greater than ourselves. So, to all those who believe in God, I encourage you to hold fast to your faith. It is a powerful force that can guide you through even the darkest of times, and it can lead you to a life of meaning and purpose. Trust in God, and know that He is always with you, guiding and supporting you every step of the way. (Proverbs 3:5-6). #faith #trust #surrender #believe

The Power of Faith

As believers in God, we know that faith is a powerful force that guides us through life’s ups and downs. Whether we’re facing challenges, celebrating victories, or simply going about our daily routine, our faith provides us with a sense of purpose and direction. So, what is it about faith that makes it such a powerful force in our lives? For one thing, faith gives us a sense of hope. It reminds us that even when things seem bleak or uncertain, there is always a higher power looking out for us. This hope gives us the courage and strength to face challenges head-on, knowing that we are not alone. Faith also provides us with a sense of meaning and purpose. When we believe in God, we understand that our lives are part of a larger plan. We have a sense of destiny and direction, and we are motivated to live our lives in a way that honors our belief in God. #faith #justbelieve #trustGod

The Reason for The Season

God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son. A week from today, we will celebrate the birth of God’s son. God in the flesh. Jesus the Christ! As we prepare for Christmas doing all the things (shopping, wrapping presents, cooking, etc.), let’s also be reminded to sit in God’s presence and give thanks for Jesus, because he truly is the reason for the season.

During this season, let’s take time to relax and reflect, as well as check on loved ones. #Godislove #Bethelight #Bethechangeyouwishtosee
